Joshua Ashley

Joshua Ashley is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and creative director whose work lives at the intersection of spirituality, queerness, and cultural restoration. Guided by a deep connection to God and an unwavering devotion to truth, Joshua creates from a place where faith, intuition, and identity merge into one radiant voice.

As the founder of JA Visuals, he moves fluidly between mediums—fine art, photography, design, film, and mixed-media storytelling—using each form to explore the unseen realms of the mind, spirit, and collective memory. His artistry is less about aesthetics and more about awakening: opening portals of understanding, healing, and self-recognition.

As a queer Black artist from the South, Joshua’s lived experience informs his vision. He carries the narratives of his lineage with pride, creating work that honors ancestors while amplifying the voices of those often overlooked: the seekers, the sensitives, the spiritually attuned, and the beautifully different. His queerness is not an aside—it is a lens of clarity, compassion, and divine perspective that shapes the fullness of his creative mission.

In 2022, he founded Be Kind Creative, a non-profit dedicated to supporting creatives, entrepreneurs, and emerging visionaries with resources, community, and compassionate mentorship. His goal: to make creativity a home for all, especially those who have been told it is not their place.

Joshua refers to his ongoing journey as his “passage to the Oasis”, a sacred return to the inner self, to God, and to the light we carry within. Through every brushstroke, every written word, every visual composition, and every spiritual exploration, Joshua Ashley stands as a beacon of artistry, faith, queerness, and boundless creative possibility.
